Find Your Own Entrepreneurial Mindset

What do you think is the reason behind the accomplishments of the most successful people around the world? Financial background?  Education?  Successful family? Not at all…

It might be comforting to believe that they have what we don’t, but that’s not the truth…People such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson and Henry Ford all came from humble backgrounds.  Many of the big business leaders out there aren’t even college graduates.

So, what’s that one quality of their personality these super entrepreneurs share, which sets them apart? It is nothing other than their entrepreneurial mindset…

  1. Embracing failure:  Successful entrepreneurs embrace failure as a learning experience.  Just view everything as an experiment.  Don’t label outcomes as failures, they are just outcomes.  If something doesn’t work, learn from it, adjust your approach and try again.  And if you are not failing, you’re not pushing yourself enough, it means you’re staying in your comfort zone, not taking enough calculated risks and therefore won’t reach the level of success you are capable of.
  2. Fixed vs. growth mindsetThis is a simple concept that turns out to be a fundamental key to success.  In a fixed mindset, people believe their basic qualities such as intelligence or talent are purely fixed traits…that they have a certain amount of intellect and aptitude and nothing can change it. These people spend their time documenting their talent instead of developing it and they couldn’t be more wrong!  People with a growth mindset see their qualities as things that can be developed through their dedication and effort. This is the mindset you need to develop!  This view creates a love of learning and a flexibility that is essential for great success. Virtually all great people have had these qualities. They understand that no one has ever accomplished great things—not Mozart, Darwin, or Michael Jordan—without years of passionate practice and learning.
  3. Blissful productivity:  Have you ever seen someone that is really hooked on a r video game? They look like they are on cloud nine while sitting for hours in front of a screen, much like your typical office worker, and yet they’re completely blissful.  Now what about the typical office worker? They often look bored and disengaged. They want to be somewhere else and aren’t very productive.  If you are going to go through the effort of creating and owning a business, you might as well start something you enjoy! Not only will you get more happiness out of it, you’ll also be more successful!

Learning to pay close attention to your thoughts and beliefs is the key to becoming a successful entrepreneur.  Following these tips is the way you will be able to establish your entrepreneurial dreams and create the life you deserve!
